Service Description

Intra Muscular Stimulation created and developed by Dr. Chan Gunn at UBC. Intramuscular stimulation is a muscle stimulation by a fine needle (similar to acupuncture needles). The effect is both on the local muscle specifically stimulated, but more important the spinal nerve root that supplies it. The anticipated benefits can therefore be a long way away from the point of insertion of the needle.
